Nature Quest India works to improves access to healthcare for remote communities in and around Thangaon village, situated on the foothills of Himalaya at an altitude of about 4,000 feet above sea level. We partner with local community to improve the performance and reliability of health systems in the most inaccessible and isolated area of Dehradun /India. Our mission is to provide very basic Health care and built a community health care infrastructure for all the surrounding villagers.
The Himalayan Community and Ayurvedic Medicine program gives students a distinctive prospect to learn about Indian Medicine system at the grass root level. A small Nature Quest Clinic based in Thangaon Village caters to around 9 surrounding major villages. Our expert team of a doctor and Nurse put up 2 medical camps in a week to reach for local community who are not reachable to our clinic.
This 4 week program can be extended up to 8 weeks, depending on an individual.
During this 4 week program student(s) would stay for one week in Thangaon village, where they experience the Himalayan Medi - care at grass root level, One week in Dehradun city and experience urban Indian Medical system, One week in Rishikesh Ashram to get exposed to Ayurvedic Medicine, and One week in Mussoorie community Hospital, and see specialized doctors working under one roof which is relatively a new concept in India.
